My garden is thriving, the birds are singing, and for a few moments everything feels still. 🌱

Today we begin preparing meals for the first of six World Cup games here in Seattle—650 meals per game—while continuing all of the wonderful summer events our clients trust us with.

This morning , I’m soaking in the calm before the logistics, early mornings, spreadsheets, deliveries, and thousands of meals begin.

Grateful for the growth in the garden and the growth in our business. 💚

Clear dome lids = one of my favorite buffet fast flow hacks ✨

It never fails…at least 1 of 5 guests see a chaffing dish lid and THEY MUST lift it to see what is underneath. This adds at least 10seconds to the buffet flow for every curious guest. 🤪 But why fight human’s inquisitive nature when we can use equipment to solve a problem??

The moment we made it so guests could instantly see our food…..our line ran consistently smoother, food stayed warm, and the whole buffet experience became easier and faster. 🙌🏾

One tiny adjustment… huge positive impact

After years of catering, I’ve learned that the best systems work with human nature, not against it 😉

There’s something powerful about sharing a table. ❤️🌍

Last Thursday, the DayoSense family took our monthly cultural cuisine adventure to experience the bold, rich, soulful flavors of West Africa at — and babyyyyy… it did NOT disappoint. 🔥🍚🥘

We do this every month as a team tradition:
✨ We order all the dishes we’ve been curious about
✨ Place everything in the middle of the table
✨ Eat family-style
✨ Learn through food, laughter, and culture

From the smoky jollof rice, sweet plantain, to the savory meats, “spanking” fufu and dipping in various Egusi Soups. The Talapia with peppers ohhhhh YESS, and comforting sides like Meat Pies and Puff Puff….every bite felt like love, history, and celebration on a plate. 🙌🏾

As a catering company rooted in comfort foods from different cultures, these experiences inspire us creatively and remind us how food connects people across backgrounds and traditions.

Passed appetizers in cool spaces ✨

Earlier this month, we had the joy of serving at the fundraiser at the Art Love Facility. The room was alive with creativity, expression, and community—and it was an honor to add a little flavor to that energy.

There’s something special about sharing beautiful bites in spaces filled with art and purpose. This night was a reminder of how food and creativity can come together to create something meaningful.
