Happy one-year anniversary this Sunday to Courtney & Alden!

As seen in Washington Wedding Day:

“A century-old family estate on the water in Gig Harbor set the tone for Courtney and Alden’s August celebration. It was a place steeped in memories for the bride’s family and, over time, for the groom as well. Guests arrived to a yard shaped by its years, with tall evergreens, a long stretch of lawn and the shimmer of the harbor framing the day from start to finish.

True to their tradition of creating joy, Courtney’s family had spent the day before gathering buckets of bright blooms from local farms—crafting every arrangement by hand. Their work shaped the ceremony garden with loose, sunlit florals that felt lifted straight from the property. The bride and groom exchanged vows in the lower garden, surrounded by all the people who had watched their relationship grow from a study-abroad spark in Australia to a life built together in San Diego.”

What does it take to feed over 4,000 hungry bikers in the evening, and then do it all again the next morning?
Tuxedos & Tennis Shoes Catering has proudly supported Obliteride for many years, but last year we went BIG with not just the Friday night kickoff dinner but also a full brunch post-race!

When you’re feeding thousands on a tight timeline, you need a well-oiled team that never brakes under pressure. 💪🚴‍♂️

Months of planning and constant communication with our client and vendor partners create the on-site efficiency that allows us to stay a step ahead of any hurdles.

And this isn’t any old hot dog picnic... Our client needs a fresh and healthy menu that also caters to diverse dietary preferences and restrictions. Crafting a menu that pleases such a large crowd can be tricky, but our culinary team is always up for a challenge!

But we’re not just going to settle for crowd-friendly AND delicious... if it’s a DSquared Hospitality production, it also has to go out in ✨✴️ STYLE ✴️✨

The couple’s magical July day at JM Cellars featured an outdoor wedding ceremony & intimate plated dinner reception for 35.⁠

Guests enjoyed passed appetizers and JM Cellars wine, followed by dinner and dancing, with the atmosphere elevated by thoughtful forest garden party décor and floral design orchestrated by Yinyu and the Fr**ga Events team. ⁠

An upscale, plated dinner was very important to Vincent and Michelle so we put together a custom menu that included a pre-set chowder option, provided tableside wine service, and delivered beautiful plated meals for every guest. ⁠

To honor a personal request from the bride and groom, we also served passionfruit tartlets family-style at each table, which added a sweet and playful detail to the evening.⁠

Their July 17th wedding at The Admiral's House was the most stylish soiree with linen signage, a make-your-own Moscow Mule bar, photo es**rt cards, a local oyster station, a gelato cart, and THREE cakes!

What month do you think we did our summer menu photoshoot?

Would you have guessed last NOVEMBER??

For most of our 40 years as caterers, we relied on seasonal open houses and the occasional wedding gallery for photos of our food - which meant that most items were never photographed, and the ones that were were often out of date. Plus, all the photography styles were different!

You may have noticed that our recent menus have featured consistent, up-to-date photography ever since we started doing seasonal menu photoshoots with Mandee Rae | Photographer.

In order to have our menus ready for our clients planning their celebrations months in advance, we have started doing these seasonal photoshoots several months - and nowadays a full year ahead!

We know our food is incredibly delicious.

And now we have the food photography to back that up!

Always evolving. Always ready to party. 🍳
