Servant Coffee

Servant Coffee Servant Coffee is an artisan coffee roaster in Denver dedicated to serving each other well. We want you to be a part of the Servant community.

Not knowing he would someday open a coffee roastery, our founder John was inspired to start Servant Coffee while traveling throughout Southeast Asia and Colombia with his family. John and his wife Sarah were impacted by the coffee farms they visited as well as the international charities and NGOs they experienced. Inspired by the charities’ dedication to serving others and the incredible skill nee

ded in the cultivation of the coffee, Servant Coffee was born. John and his family landed in Denver, Colorado and found the perfect location for a small-batch roastery. From the beginning, Servant Coffee has been committed to sourcing amazing coffee while building community and serving others. We will serve our local community, suppliers, and clients with a humble attitude that reflects our core belief of putting others ahead of ourselves. Servant Coffee exists to influence lives while also serving some of the best coffee you will taste. We are building long-term relationships with coffee farmers and collectives around the world and with local nonprofits in our own community. We are committed to ensuring that we help improve the standard of living in all of the communities from which we source. We’re always looking for interesting new regions from which to source coffee, bringing resources to those communities while giving you access to some amazing coffee. We would love to hear stories of connection and inspiration that you experience while sharing a cup of coffee with someone. We believe in community and in sharing life together.

Yesterday our team had the opportunity to visit Project H.O.O.D. ()in Chicago. Their organization serves one of the city’s most underserved neighborhoods through education, mentorship, and community development.

We’re honored to partner with them as their coffee provider—helping design a cafe space and supply coffee as they continue making meaningful investments in their community.

This holiday season, we’re excited to announce our new limited-edition boxed release of a washed Gesha from Finca San Ramón, made possible with the help of our friends at Los Volcanes Coffee.

Gesha coffee is known for its delicacy, florality, and complex flavor profile. It’s not often that we find Geshas from Guatemala, which makes this release special.

Located in the mountains of San Juan Sacatepéquez, Finca San Ramón has been in the same family for three generations. All lots are processed using artisanal methods with strict quality control, showcasing what is possible with traditional techniques refined over generations.

With every sip, be ready to taste notes of grapefruit, nectarine, and jasmine!

How do we do it?

At Servant, we believe great coffee starts long before it reaches your cup. For us, sourcing green coffee is about precision, consistency, and honoring the work that went into producing it.

We choose to work with trusted producers and exporters season after season—not as a badge of virtue, but because those partnerships deliver quality. Repeat buying, transparent contracts, and traceable lots give us the confidence that every bag we roast reflects excellence at origin.

This approach also gives us the ability to push deeper into craft. By knowing the details of a farm, a process, and a harvest, we can roast with greater clarity and share coffees that taste as vibrant and distinctive as the people who grew them.

When you drink our coffee, you’re tasting intentional sourcing and careful roasting brought together with one goal: to serve you excellence.

YOINER MOSQUERA | From our friends at LaREB.

COLOMBIA | Washed Process

📚 ABOUT:
Yoiner Mosquera is back for a 4th harvest, and we couldn’t be more excited. This coffee comes to us through our friends at La Real Expedición Botánica (LaREB), a Colombian collective led by Ana Mustafá and her family, who have been farming coffee in Huila for nearly 80 years. LaREB’s work aligns deeply with our values of transparency, quality, and relationship, and we’re honored to partner with them again.

💡 INTENTIONALITY:
LaREB brings together small producers across Colombia, supporting them with resources, market access, and long-term partnerships. Their sourcing philosophy is rooted in sustainability and community, creating a strong foundation for producers to flourish.

🍊 FLAVOR:
This fully washed lot from Palestina, Huila delights with bright tropical notes — a burst of passionfruit and blood orange, rolling into a citric lime-sorbet finish. Grown at 1620 MASL and carefully processed with extended fermentation and drying, it’s a vibrant expression of Colombian coffee beyond the “classic” profile.

Salud!

What goes into sourcing coffee?

Our philosophy aims to transcend conventional buying, because we combine rigorous quality standards with deep-rooted partnerships to uplift communities from farm to cup. When it’s applicable, every green coffee we purchase achieves at least 80 points on the Specialty Coffee Association scale. Although flavor can be uniquely subjective, this scale helps categorize and distinguish coffees in a more formally recognizable way, especially when there are loads to choose from.

We also adhere to these sourcing tiers—spot purchases and importer contracts when necessary, direct pre-contract “Impact Lots” with transparent terms, and long-term “Dedicated Trust” agreements that eliminate the need for annual sampling.

By collaborating closely at origin—sharing processing expertise, supporting full-lifecycle producers, and conducting annual visits—we ensure consistent excellence and secure, fair pricing. For example, our enduring collaboration with Rosalba Cifuentes of in Chiapas exemplifies this model, where stable demand has financed local infrastructure, education, and sustainable growth.

Grab a bag and experience premium coffee that reflects exceptional craftsmanship and meaningful social impact.
