What started as a side hustle in Johannesburg during lockdown has grown into something truly special -and we’re so grateful to bring it to our Cape Town community. People often ask how the name “Laced Coffee” came about….☕️✨No - our coffee isn’t laced with anything - except love and feel good vibes. Our Bridal Studio, now 32 years young, always worked with beautiful lace fabrics, so when we dreamed of creating a welcoming space next door for brides and their retinues to relax after fittings the name felt perfect. A place where brides, wedding planners, photographers and other wedding industry friends could meet, be briefed, celebrate or simply unwind. Over time Laced Coffee became more than just a bridal meeting spot. Nestled among the academic campus residences, it’s now a warm gathering place for students, our loyal local community, buisness catch ups ,school and church meetings and visitors from further afield too. And of course the heart behind it- Robyn’s husband Paul, a trained, passionate foodie and coffee connoisseur - who had always dreamed of opening a coffee shop. So it was a no brainer to create it right next to our bridal boutique studio workshop. A space brewed with community, creativity and connection.

At our space we make every effort to recycle responsibility -seperating our paper, fabric off cuts, glass and plastics, while all organ waste is sent to composting gooi your kitchen scraps. Small mindful steps that help reduce waste and give materials a second life. We believe beautiful things can be created while still daring for the environment around us 💚
