Still serving up samoosas & quarts of beer. Weekly music events on Thurs and Sunday. Cocktails " Perhaps no other place in Obz, or Cape Town for that matter, exemplifies the hope of a new South Africa chilling out with itself, than Café Ganesh, a converted stables just off the Lower Main Road. Overflowing with ‘urban shabby chic’, Ganesh offers delicious traditional African dishes of Babotie, Umnqusho, and pap ‘n’ Veg, in warm and evocative surroundings.

As many of you know Anthony has retired after 29 years and Ganesh has been handed over to three proud new custodians of this local institution - Ryan, Bryn and Jade. As Obs locals we know we have big shoes to fill. We are passionate about community, food, music and art - please follow our journey on our new Instagram . We are currently renovating the bathrooms and kitchen and hope to open mid- February!
