Goods With Character | Our In-House Bakery

Some rewards arrive in a box.

Others arrive warm from the oven.

At Sip and Ship, our in-house bakery is led by Emma, who starts each morning with butter, flour, fresh ingredients, and the kind of care you can taste. Every cookie, scone, coffee cake, loaf, and bar is baked from scratch, right here, because homemade still matters.

Whether you’re craving something sweet, something savory, or something simply satisfying, there’s probably something waiting for you. Our strawberry lemon loaf tastes like summer. The banana bread is a classic. Our gluten-free walnut date bar has earned a loyal following. And the triple ginger molasses cookie? Even cookie connoisseurs have been known to stop in their tracks after the first bite.

Summer has a way of filling our days with errands, camps, road trips, shipping projects, and long to-do lists. Maybe you’re mailing a package before heading out of town. Maybe you’re grabbing a coffee after camp drop-off. Maybe you just need five quiet minutes before whatever comes next.

That’s where homemade has a way of slowing things down.

Everything is baked fresh daily using quality ingredients. If there are any baked goods left the next morning, we mark them down 30% because good food should be enjoyed, not wasted.

Now we’re curious…
What’s your favorite baked treat? Or, if you had to choose, what’s your all-time favorite cookie?

There’s something special about sending a handwritten card.

Maybe it’s because someone took the time to choose it. Maybe it’s because someone else took the time to create it.

This week in our Goods with Character series, we’re introducing Polkadots & Arrows, the beautiful paper goods line created by illustrator Lea Velasquez from Oahu, Hawaii.

Lea built her business while raising two children, including one with profound medical complexity, proving that creativity can flourish even in life’s most demanding seasons. Today, her original artwork lives on greeting cards and prints that help people celebrate birthdays, offer encouragement, express gratitude, and stay connected.

We especially love supporting makers whose values align with ours:
• Woman-owned
• AAPI-owned
• Eco-friendly
• Handmade
• Independent

The next time you stop by Sip and Ship, take a few extra minutes to browse our card collection. You might just find the one that says exactly what you wanted to say.

Because the right card doesn’t just deliver a message—it reminds someone they’re worth thinking about.

At Sip and Ship, we believe the best baby gifts offer comfort, companionship, and a sense of belonging from the very beginning.
That’s why we’re proud to feature Saranoni and Mary Meyer together in our Baby Department—a collection rooted in family, comfort, and love.

Both brands began with remarkable women whose greatest inspiration was their family.
Nearly a century ago, Mary Meyer began sewing animal pin cushions that evolved into beloved stuffed animals. Today, the company remains family-owned and operated by Mary’s grandsons, carrying forward her simple belief that every child deserves something wonderful to love. Generations of children have grown up with a Mary Meyer companion tucked under their arm, beside them at bedtime, and along for life’s adventures.

Saranoni’s story began in 2006 when founder Sara sought a way to help her daughter receive surgery for microtia, a congenital ear condition affecting the outer ear. What started as a mother’s determination grew into a family business built alongside her husband Nathan and their six children. Through both triumph and heartbreak, including Nathan’s passing in 2021, the company has remained committed to the values that inspired its beginning: kindness, service, generosity, and caring for others.

Together, these brands help create some of childhood’s sweetest memories.
Saranoni blankets offer an embrace of warmth and comfort, while Mary Meyer companions become trusted friends through naptime, bedtime, family adventures, and countless cuddles along the way.

They’re more than blankets and plush toys. They’re the gifts that welcome babies home, celebrate milestones, soothe tender moments, and become treasured keepsakes long after childhood has passed. The soft blanket that is reached for night after night. The beloved friend that rides along in strollers, attends tea parties, and patiently waits on pillows for the next adventure.
Thoughtfully made. Wonderfully soft. Created to be cherished for years.

Because every child deserves to be held close, cuddled often, and have something wonderful to love.
