Okay! Friday 10/16 9AM - 2PM we are back for a weekday! We got vegan fried donuts, vegan/gluten free cake donuts, and coffee with all the fixins. Shoutout to Don Gaines with the dough making assist - having professional friends willing to show us a thing or dozen is pretty sweet and tender.

Been a minute since we have operated on a weekday so a little nervous but we got you if you got us!

🚲 we got spaces and places for your biwheels

🚗 Park where you can! Side street parking on 4th is free - we got some pocket change for your Madison Ave meters if you need and we will try to keep our Avis lot open for yall! And if you can’t stay long do what you can to swoop in - we will get ya back on your commmuting way fast.

Our friends Tako’s Secondhand next door will be open as well! Extra seating available!

If this goes well maybe we see ya the following week 🤩

Well we finally did the darn donut thing. We baked em with the culinary guidance and overall production assist from Don Gaines and glazed/topped/fried in house this morning at the cafe. I gotta say they are phenomenal. We will still feature our gluten free/vegan cake donuts if the same flavors - these guys are full gluten so watch out. Thank you to Reid Mitchell for modeling them.

How a lot of Memphis City Council accounts bout to be looking after tonight. Just like a cancelled industry favorite cafe.

The city came out this evening not to stir s**t up but to draw attention to injustice and those in power who continue to lead us without a backbone over a cliff. The people were a force to be recooked with today.

10/20 we will work to be there alongside you. Until then we will caffeinate the resistance.

Big day today. After 8 years as a coffee roaster, we have officially just signed our first contract with our longest standing direct green supplier for the 26/27 season. What does this mean? It means we are telling producers that they can count on us to purchase a certain amount for the next two quarters. What’s even better is it’s based on their request and encouragement. Knowing that they want us in the game alongside them means the world. It’s a responsibility to show up and keep pushing. At last we can feel confident in claiming we have a relationship now and tomorrow without it feeling like we are using a buzzword. It’s never been that to us but you know what we mean. Lot of noise out there saying what people want to hear about ethical sourcing or sustainability. Feels good to announce the realness.

Words can’t describe what this means. Being able to commit to people on the other end of the supply chain who have supported our slow and steady growth for years is a place in our business that seemed to take forever to achieve. But here we are and it’s all thanks to Memphians and their sense of taste, value & character.
