Genre-defying artist Briana Harris returns to our stage for the last two Sundays of her latest residency to present a unique collection of modern American music.

Drawing inspiration from beloved artists including Carole King, Fiona Apple and more, this collection of music reimagines contemporary classics through the lens of jazz, soul and creative improvisation. Joined by Spencer Zweifel on piano, Matt Smiley on bass and Brian Claxton on drums, Harris brings her signature versatility as a saxophonist, vocalist, arranger and composer to the stage for an evening that is both familiar and entirely new.

Featuring Ben Paille on trumpet and flugelhorn alongside Jonathan Powell on valve trombone and bass trumpet, the brass quintet revisits this repertoire with both reverence and vitality. Powell’s expansive career spans performances with Eddie Palmieri, Arturo O’Farrill, Ricky Martin and Darcy James Argue’s Secret Society, along with appearances on numerous Grammy-winning projects.
