Tucked inside a 1920's warehouse turned art-deco jazz venue, Nocturne combines the art of fine dining, live music and craft cocktails and wine. Dinner and Show reservations are prepaid and include a three course dinner (wine pairings selected by our sommelier are also available and can be added on). Our highly curated cocktail list focuses on seasonal inspirations and well executed classics, while our sommelier maintains a deep wine list focusing on Champagne, terroir driven wines and natural/biodynamic producers. Nocturne is Denver's best restaurant for live music, featuring some of the finest artists in Denver's burgeoning jazz scene.

Ninety-five percent of the artists who step onto our stage call Denver home, and we wouldn’t have it any other way. This city has been quietly cooking up some of America’s finest jazz for decades, long before anyone outside Colorado noticed.

Annie Booth (), Alejandro Castaño () and Patrick McDevitt () have been making music together for more than a decade, their playing carrying the ease and intimacy of old friends finishing each other’s sentences. Gabriel Mervine () can hush a packed room with four notes and a held breath.

And behind so many of them stands Paul Romaine (), who co-founded the Colorado Conservatory for the Jazz Arts () and spent decades building a community where young musicians could study, play and find their voice.

We keep the lights on and the piano tuned, one residency, one downbeat at a time.

A little Ch*****ne and a touch of Paris before the music.

Before your set, step next door to RiNo’s newest Ch*****ne bar, La Vie En Rose , for a glass of bubbly and a few delicate plates made for sharing between sips.

Or make La Vie En Rose the final stop. After the last set, slip next door for a nightcap, another glass of Ch*****ne and something small from the kitchen.

Steak tartare, gougères, savory petits fours and other French-inspired bites, designed for grazing before your three-course dinner and the first notes of the night.

Denver has a sound all its own. We’re giving it the stage.

With support from the RiNo Business Improvement District (.bid), RiNo Sessions celebrates the musicians shaping Colorado’s music scene and the venues that bring them to audiences. For the next six months, Nocturne joins the lineup every third Thursday, featuring a different local artist or ensemble each month.

Opening the series at Nocturne: the Rico Jones Quartet, live next Thursday, October 15.

At Nocturne, the cocktail is part of the arrangement.

Our bar program is built with the same attention to balance, rhythm and restraint as the music on stage. Spirits, house-made ingredients, bitters, citrus and botanicals are brought together with a sense of structure, then given room to speak.

Some drinks arrive bright and precise. Others are darker, deeper, slower. A stirred cocktail catches the light at the bar. Ice turns in the glass. A garnish lands. Then the band starts.

Our bartenders work through the same questions a musician does: What belongs? What can be taken away? Where should the note fall?

Because a night at Nocturne has more than one composition. There is the one on stage, and there is the one in your glass.

A new record, a new quintet, and an evening of music that leaves room for the unexpected.
Recorded live at Nocturne, this new record captures bassist and composer Matt Smiley’s quintet in the room where the music came together. Formed by Smiley () in 2025, the group brings together Dru Heller on drums, David Pope () on saxophone, Josh Reed () on trumpet, and Alex Nauman () on guitar.
The group draws from post-bop, hard bop, modal jazz and swing, using familiar jazz forms as a starting point for something more open and fluid.
At the heart of the music is improvisation: five musicians listening, responding and shaping the sound together in real time. Melodies take unexpected turns. Rhythms shift. A familiar form becomes a place to wander.
Now, hear the record where it was made.

Coconut Panna Cotta.

A small escape of tropical flavors. Silken coconut panna cotta meets pineapple caramel, the fruit warmed with brown sugar and Aleppo pepper. Fine curls of pineapple juice trace the plate, while crisp white chocolate pearls scatter beneath it all.

Cool coconut. Warm pineapple. A little heat from the pepper. A sweetness that feels like sunlight.

We pour it with César Florido’s Moscatel Dorado from Chipiona, Spain, golden and sweet, with enough depth to meet the fruit glass for glass.

It’s time to book your holiday party. At Nocturne Jazz & Supper Club () and La Vie En Rose Ch*****ne & Cocktail Bar (), you can reserve one space, the other, or bring the two together for an evening that moves between them.

At Nocturne, seat up to 65 guests for a three-course dinner, served plated or family style, or welcome up to 150 for a cocktail reception with passed bites or a stationed dinner.

Let the music set the tempo with a live duo, trio, quartet or quintet from our roster of Denver musicians. Build a hosted bar around house pours or top-shelf spirits, and add a Ch*****ne welcome, custom cocktail experience, or guided w**e and Ch*****ne class.

At La Vie En Rose, step into a more intimate Parisian setting for Ch*****ne, cocktails, and small bites. Reserve the bar on its own for a more intimate celebration, or pair it with Nocturne and let your guests move between the two spaces throughout the evening, shifting from live jazz and supper to Ch*****ne and cocktails, with each room offering its own atmosphere and experience.

From the Loire, Jacqueline Delaunay Blanc de Blancs brings cool minerality, citrus and a clean, lifted finish to the glass. Its freshness makes room for the flavors around it, keeping the palate light and awake from the first sip.
