What a night, Blue Jays! 💙

Blue Jay Bash 2026 brought the Hopkins community together for an unforgettable evening filled with carnival games, delicious food, live entertainment, caricatures, and plenty of Blue Jay spirit!

Thank you to everyone who joined us at Decker Quad— and to the incredible teams, partners, and vendors who helped bring the celebration to life. We loved kicking off the academic year with you and creating memories that will last well beyond the Bash.

Blue Jay Bash is TODAY! 💙🎉

Join us for our 5th annual Blue Jay Bash this evening, Wednesday, September 9 from 5–8 PM, on Decker Quad. This outdoor festival will feature food, music, giveaways, and more as we kick off the semester.

We're excited to feature items that include but are not limited to BBQ Cheeseburger Sliders, Fried Blue Catfish, Maryland Vegan Crab Cakes, Old Bay Shoestring Fries, Hoisin Glazed Pork Belly w/ Kimchi, Jerk Chicken Drumsticks, Butter Chicken, Funnel Cake Fries, and more! 😋

Please note that Blue Jay Bash will replace normal dinner service at Hopkins Café and Nolan’s on 33rd. Levering Kitchens will remain open for normal service.

From the kitchen to the conference room, this summer was all about learning, growth, and impact! Hopkins Dining proudly celebrated Summer Jobs Program interns Anthony Worrell and Mikel Forrester as they concluded their experience with final presentations highlighting everything they accomplished.

Throughout the summer, Anthony and Mikel explored Recipe & Development, Operations, Safety & Sanitation, Food Service Systems, Sustainability, and Marketing: turning ideas into recipes, earning ServSafe certification, analyzing food waste, supporting dining operations, and strengthening their leadership and communication skills.

We are incredibly proud of the curiosity, professionalism, and enthusiasm they brought to every experience. Their advice to future interns says it best: ask questions, get involved, wear comfortable shoes, and “don’t be scared to get your hands dirty!”

Congrats, Anthony and Mikel! We can’t wait to see where your talents take you next! 💙
