Today, we raised our glasses to Officer Larry Fasano on his retirement after 33 years of service to Baltimore, with much of that time right here in Fells Point.⁣

Larry, thank you for looking out for our neighborhood, our people, and our little corner of Broadway. Thank you for the countless nights, conversations, laughs, and moments that made Fells Point feel a little safer and a lot more like home.⁣
⁣
From all of us at Max’s: congratulations, thank you, and enjoy the next chapter. You’ve more than earned it.⁣

Which means it’s probably time to start talking about our next beer event: 𝗢𝗸𝘁𝗼𝗯𝗲𝗿𝗳𝗲𝘀𝘁.⁣

September 18 to 20. ⁣

Less than a month away.⁣
⁣
We’re bringing in dozens of German and German-style beers, filling the draft lines, and preparing to make some questionable decisions involving giant mugs.⁣

HopFest 2026 was, well, 𝘏𝘖𝘗𝘗𝘐𝘕𝘎. A ridiculous amount of IPAs were poured, memories were made, and at least a few people called asking for their left behind CCs - the tell tale sign of a wild weekend.⁣

Huge cheers to everyone who came out and made it one hell of a weekend. ⁣

And good news if you couldn’t make it before: we’ve still got a handful of those hyped-up hoppy kegs on draft. ⁣
