The Mapua Sprig and Fern Tavern brings a national award winning brand to Mapua! Located across the road from the popular Mapua Community Hall, the Sprig & Fern is a family friendly tavern open from 12pm –late. The full range of locally brewed craft beer, ales and ciders are served along with a good number of the best local wines. A warm fire and comfy armchairs make having a good long social chat

a real pleasure. Bar meals are available including gourmet pizzas, platters to share and hearty burgers and steaks. We have even brought back the classic Sunday roast in the Winter time! Patrons can enjoy quiz evenings every Thursday from March-November as well as live music at the weekends.

Today Pierre's bringing us some flair from France! 🇫🇷

For our next installment in our worldwide burger tour, we've got France on the menu with Pierre's "In the Alps" burger: Wagyu beef patties, onions caramelised with Sprig + Fern Apple Cider, Little River WildFire cheese, dressed roquette and cornichons on a wholemeal bun handmade by the Frenchman himself.

At S+F Mapua, we're extremely lucky to have a talented team of chefs from all over the world who inject unique flavours and cuisine inspiration into our gourmet menu. We thought that was pretty cool and well worth celebrating, so over 5 weeks, our burger special will represent each of our incredible chefs and the area they originally hailed from before calling Mapua home 🖤

The In the Alps burger is available all day from our 2pm open, but today only! Bon Appetit! 🤌

Kicking us off close to home is AJ with his "Boil Up in a Burger" from the North Island. Beautifully pulled pork, kumara fritter, watercress slaw, and watercress aioli, and bonus points if you pair it with the Fern Lager or NZIPA... can't get much more Kiwi than that! 🇳🇿

Today we took a trip south of the border and got creative with slow-cooked, rich pork belly in Mexican-inspired flavours. 🙌 Mild-spiced amigos need not worry - you don't need to pre-book the fire brigade for this one, it's safe for the spice-sensitive!

As always, the pie special is served in our signature golden pastry with mash, peas, and anyyyy pint of your choice to wash it down.
