China’s word-of-mouth hit “Dear You” arrives in Ireland on 26 June.
Based on a true historical story, the film is inspired by Qiaopi “侨批”—letters and remittances sent home by overseas Chinese in Southeast Asia. Spanning more than half a century, it is a moving tale of family, sacrifice, and the enduring bonds between those who left and the loved ones they left behind.
