REVIEW | The Sunday Share
If you’re looking to catch up with mates on a Sunday, don’t want to break the bank, but do want to get a little tipsy, the PepperBerry Sunday Share brunch is definitely worth a look.
First tip: don’t have breakfast beforehand. You’re going to need the room.
We kicked things off with the choice of an açai bowl or fresh fruit, and went with the fruit platter and griddled focaccia with a yummy tomato and basil dip, before moving onto the serious stuff.
Next came eggs done two ways, poached avo eggs, with an absolutely delicious hollandaise, plus a rich and warming shakshouka, with a very tasty sauce!
And we need to take a moment for those eggs. Perfectly cooked, glossy and runny, with that golden yolk oozing out as soon as you cut into it. We love it when a chef cooks an egg with this much respect. 👏🍳
On the side? Sausages and a beetroot, mandarin and blue cheese salad that somehow made us feel like we were still making healthy choices.
And it doesn’t stop there.
Just when we thought we were done, out came dessert, including PepperBerry’s signature chocolate brownie and churros.
Of course, brunch isn’t brunch without a little something sparkling, and the whole feast was washed down with free-flowing sparkling wine. 🥂
(We met another table who were settling in with cocktails, this looks like the plan for next Sunday!)
All of that for just $65 per person.
And another win when you’re heading out with a group, no awkward bill splitting at the end. Everyone knows exactly what they’re paying, so there’s no working out who had what or passing the calculator around the table.
Great value, plenty of food and the perfect excuse for a long Sunday catch-up with friends.
