There is something really special about small businesses in West Seattle.
Not just the businesses themselves, but the people behind them—the people who show up, work incredibly hard, give back, support each other, and make this community what it is.
A few of the people we’re especially grateful for:
🍦 Jack & Heidi at Husky Deli — absolute West Seattle icons. Some of the hardest-working, kindest people around, serving the best ice cream and so much more.
🧈 Whitney at Electric Butter — marketing genius, hilarious, endlessly generous, and one of the biggest cheerleaders for other small businesses.
☕ Cameron & Peter at C&P Coffee — constantly giving, creating, hosting, supporting, and showing up for this community. Plus, really damn good coffee.
🌿 Kandace at Kandu Gardening — one of our own teammates and one of the hardest-working people we know, making gardens all over West Seattle more beautiful.
🧀 Annalise at Charcuterie by Annalise — clever, kind, hilarious, incredibly hardworking, and ridiculously talented.
And then there’s Jenny, the owner of The Neighborhood.
She built this restaurant around the same things we see in all of these people: integrity, kindness, gratitude, generosity, and love for the community around us.
She is also probably going to kill me for writing this because she is incredibly humble and would much rather shine the spotlight on everyone else. 😂
Since day one, we’ve made giving back part of who we are. This month, we’ll hold our 16th monthly fundraiser—one for every single month we’ve been open. ❤️ We’re incredibly proud to support local schools, organizations, and causes that matter to our community.
Because small business isn’t just about what you sell. It’s about the people. The relationships. The willingness to show up for your neighbors.
We’re incredibly lucky to be surrounded by people who do exactly that.
And this list is just the beginning. ❤️
