When you’re a brewer, the news that fresh hops are on their way can feel better than Christmas. That’s how this b**r got its name.

James heard fresh Mosaic hops were headed to the brewery from Yakima, and the excitement gave us a name that stuck.

Better Than Christmas is our celebration of hop harvest in a glass, a fresh-hop pale ale full of juicy flavor, with a clean, refreshing finish. A seriously thirst-quenching pint, and a good reminder of why this time of year means so much to brewers.

To add to the excitement our Lake City patio has hop vines growing all around it so you can see real hops up close. Check it out next time your here!

Love Demolition Ale? You’re gonna LOVE this! 🍻

Our brewer Tom made Fresh Hop Demolition Ale with hops he grew in his own backyard, and it’s tasting really good! We’ve only got a few kegs to go around at our Burien and West Seattle pubs, so get down here for a pint before it’s gone!

We’re running double points for the first time with our new rewards program starting this weekend with breakfast. 🥞

Saturdays and Sundays, 9 AM to noon, at Burien and Lake City: pancakes, biscuits & gravy, hash, breakfast cocktails. All of it earns double points for the foreseeable future.

See you this weekend.

PS. For the 11am - 12pm hour double points will still count in West Seattle!

BIG SHOUTOUT to Doug Hindman whose been named a 2026 recipient of the Master Brewers Distinguished Life Service Award.

Master Brewers is the professional association for brewing science, technology, and operations and is recognized for years of service with them.

Doug spent nearly three decades at Elliott Bay helping shape brewery operations and our organic program. He also gave his time to the Washington Brewers Guild, the Washington B**r Commission, and Master Brewers.

We’re proud to see that work recognized.

Anyone else think a Demolition Ale sounds good today? 🍻🤔

Demolition Ale: Imperial IPA | 7.6% ABV | 90 IBU. Citrus and pine over a solid malt backbone, with firm bitterness and a clean finish.

Fort Road Fresh Hop gets its name from the road where Virgil Gamache Farms Inc sits in Toppen*sh. The family has grown hops in the Yakima Valley since 1932, and their fresh hops are the heart of this IPA.

Expect citrus, pine, and earthy hop character with a light, toasty caramel malt finish.

6.2% ABV · 35 IBU
On tap now at all three pubs: West Seattle, Burien, and Lake City.
