In solidarity with so many across the nation we will be closed 2/3/15

There are many people weighing whether or not to do the same and I don’t blame them. Closing for a day is hard on small business for so many reasons, but I believe the message needs to be felt. I am the son of migrant workers, a story all too familiar to many a staff and patron at La Perlita. I find the decisions of the current administration and its rhetoric specifically towards immigrants heartbreaking and enraging. At times like this I think it’s important to understand the strength of unity and solidarity.

We are powerful, we are essential, we are beautiful.

We’ll be back doing the thing we love on Tuesday 2/4/15
