"Yelp's annual list of the best new restaurants in America is out, and a Pittsburgh dining spot made the 2026 ranking.

It's Palm Palm in East Liberty, which debuted in the fall of 2025 and was named the 24th best new restaurant in the country. "This brightly designed newcomer brings a little bit of Palm Springs to Pittsburgh," a Yelp review of the eatery observed."

Palm Palm, the East Liberty restaurant that put the cool in tropical with its mash-up of Palm Springs retro and Palm Beach chic, just landed on Yelp’s list of the 25 best American new restaurants in 2026. Co-owned by husband-and-wife Herky and Lisa Po***ck and Chef Ed and Amanda Smith, (Legacy Hospitality Partners), the restaurant opened in 2025.

From the get-go, Palm Palm quickly generated buzz for its vacation-vibe comfort food, including tuna sushi tots, truffle Spaghettios, and shrimp with coconut grits. Also making a splash: the laid-back-meet-luxe dining room, with its sink-in velvet banquettes, hand-gilded ceiling, and 30-foot-long mural of a baby-blue Cadillac DeVille, which is a favorite photo op for Instagram influencers. The restaurant’s interior design is a notable addition to the Pittsburgh restaurant scene.
