π KNOW YOUR B***S. Seriously. π
October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, so here's your little reminder to get familiar with your girls! π
You don't have to perform some complicated monthly breast exam. The important thing is knowing what is normal for YOU so you notice when something changes.
When you're getting dressed, showering, putting on your bra, or just going about your day, pay attention to:
π How they look β notice changes in size, shape, or skin.
π€² How they feel β be aware of any new lump, thickening, or firm area.
π Your ni***es β notice any new changes in appearance, direction, or unusual discharge.
β¨ Your skin β watch for dimpling, puckering, redness, swelling, or other changes.
And don't forget the area around your breasts and under your arms, too. Changes there can be worth mentioning to your doctor.
Most breast changes are NOT cancer. But if you notice something that's new or unusual for you, don't ignore it. Give your healthcare provider a call and get it checked out β even if you recently had a normal mammogram.
And of course, knowing your breasts doesn't replace your recommended mammograms or other screening. π
So this October, we're giving you permission to get a little more acquainted with your b***s. ππ
Look. Feel. Know what's normal for YOU. And speak up when something changes. π©·
