Some nights are about great food and great wine. Others are about something even bigger.
At the 13th Annual Woof & Wine held at Denver Botanic Gardens Chatfield Farms (), every plate served helped support animals waiting for a second chance. Hosted by the Humane Society of the South Platte Valley (), the event brought the community together to help provide care, shelter, and loving homes for dogs and cats in need.
We were honored to have Executive Chef John Wilson () and the Italian restaurant Bella Colibri in Golden () provide the evening's cuisine. For Chef John, this cause is deeply personal. He and his wife, Mindy, who works at the Humane Society, have dedicated much of their lives to helping rescue animals, especially senior and special needs dogs. Their home has welcomed countless rescue pets and foster animals over the years.
The food was incredible, but what made the evening truly special was knowing that every bite, every toast, and every donation helped animals move one step closer to safety, healing, and a family of their own.
Thank you, Chef John, Bella Colibri, the Humane Society of the South Platte Valley, and everyone who attended, donated, volunteered, and believes in the power of compassion.
