Good Morning Hatteras! Quick note today. I'm back in the states. Currently in Morgantown for successful Homecoming win for my Mountaineers but will be back on the island tomorrow depending on road conditions. We will be open again on Wednesday. W**e night on Thursday has about 15 seats open. It is the start of our fundraiser for HICF. Raffles, the silent auction starts, we are going to have some fun! I have a Sicilian menu for you inspired by our travels this month. Arancini, pasta with a tuna ragu, Porchetta... W**es are in play based on the road conditions but I'm shooting for Italian. So as we wrap up our Sicilian adventure, the sun is out, air is warm...I love this part of Italy. I even saw the "green flash" at sunset! We completed our scouting for the 2027 Sicily trip for the new travel company. Palermo, Mt Etna, Noto and Menfi. Plus Taormina for a Michelin dinner and shopping. The trip will put together 5 vineyards, 2 cooking classes, the opera and more deliciousness than you can imagine. Golfers.. I have y'all covered with Sicily's oldest golf resort and spa. I'll have details soon but we are going to have some fun!

Well we made it to Sicily! Managed to dodge the terrible weather that hit Marsala. As we landed it was bumpy and you could see the storm clouds. They went south and trashed about an hour south with tornados and heavy rain. The vineyard we had planned to visit took a hit. Our prayers are with them. On a more positive note... Palermo is beautiful. The trip next year is coming together. Great scenery, the street food here is amazing. This is a beautiful city.

Hi Gang! We made it to Madrid! What an amazing city. Nightlife, creative food, happy people... What else do you need? We are eating (and drinking) our way to happiness. Pix in this and the next post are some meals, views and general debauchery! We are staying in "La Latina" . It's my favorite neighborhood... Located next to Plaza Mayor. The vibe here is tapas, great w**e ($3 glass) and "vermut". Headed to Sicily tomorrow but this is one of my favorite cities in Europe. Cheers!

Fri-Yay! Last day before our break. Open 10-6. Still holding on to a good inventory but we may run out of some things today.

It has been a really great season. Our guests are amazing. My staff is the best. We just need a break. On our return, we are going to hit the ground running with our fundraising for HICF. There will be 2 w**e nights. Oct 22 and Oct 29. I'm leaning French for the 29th and hope to be inspired on my travels for the 22nd. One way or another... lets finish the month strong for a good cause!

I'll be monitoring FB for reservations while I'm away. Hopefully the weather man is wrong about the next few weeks but we are Hatteras strong! Stay safe everyone! Nick

Good morning! W**e night is on! Open 12-8:30ish. Tasting starts at 5.

Lots of room for our BBQ tonight. I just opened up the smoker and boy...that brisket is perfect. Nice bark, smells so good. Tonight we have an all you can eat buffet of baby back ribs, pulled pork, Texas brisket and smoked sausage. Plus all the fixins. It's the last chance for Deli BBQ this year. When is gone its gone but come hungry! Put on your stretchy pants and have some fun. We will have carry plates and sandwiches available as well. Plus I even made cobbler!

Morning Deli family. Back in the saddle today. Open 10-6. 3 days left before our break... come on down and grab one of your fav sandwiches before the beach.

15 seats open for our last W**e Night for a while. BBQ Buffet this week. I'm firing up the smoker today. We are going to have some fun on Thursday. Raffles, lots of deliciousness to eat. Our fundraising for HICF starts. Time Jenkins is in the house.

Please be patient as we run down our inventory for the break. We are still pretty well stocked ...even pastrami!
