This event was originally planned as a fundraiser to support Newt Wakefield and his family. Since Newt’s passing, it has taken on a new meaning and will now be a chance for family, friends, and our community to come together, remember Newt, and continue his legacy.

All funds raised will go toward a scholarship in Newt’s name, helping support future students and keep his memory alive for years to come. We’re so grateful for the incredible amount of love and support this community has shown Newt and his family. We hope you’ll join us in celebrating him and supporting something meaningful in his honor. 🤍

We are excited to share our September Employee Spotlight - Manuela! ⭐️

Manuela is someone who believes in working hard and taking pride in a job well done. When she’s not at The Star, you’ll likely find her enjoying the outdoors, golfing, snowmobiling, traveling, or spending time with her husband, kids, grandkids, and friends. She also has a green thumb and loves planting flowers and creating flower arrangements—and she’s known to make a pretty great homemade hot salsa for family and friends! 🌶️

Manuela loves spending time with the people she cares about, whether they’re heading out on an adventure or simply enjoying life together.

We’re beyond thankful to have had Manuela a part of our Star family for over 13 years now!
