💙 Happy Father’s Day to a man who helped build the heart of Cortez Kitchen.

Today, we’re remembering Joe Oekler, the proud owner of Cortez Kitchen for 19 years, who we sadly lost last month.

Joe wore many hats throughout his life, but around here, he’ll always be remembered for his hard work, his generosity, his sense of humor, and the way he made everyone feel like family. He believed in helping people, sharing what he had, and making sure there was always a reason to laugh.

The friendships he built and the memories he created within these walls are part of what makes Cortez Kitchen the special place it is today. His legacy lives on in this community and in everyone lucky enough to have known him.

This Father’s Day, we’re raising a glass to Joe and to all the dads, grandpas, father figures, and hardworking men who’ve helped shape our little fishing village.

Thank you, Joe. We’ll never forget you.

Okay guys, listen up.

Cortez is about fishing, working hard, and coming together when it matters most. This is one of those times.

Next weekend is the Captain Jason Stock Memorial Full Send Fishing Tournament. This is more than a day on the water. It's a chance for our community to come together and honor the life and legacy of Jason while supporting the causes that meant the most to him.

Proceeds from the tournament will help provide for Jason's children, support local marine conservation efforts, and raise awareness for su***de prevention and mental health initiatives. Through the generosity of our community, Jason's legacy of family, fishing, and giving back will continue to make a difference for years to come.

We're proud to support this special event and hope you'll join us in celebrating a life that touched so many. 🐟❤️
