Tortoise Supper Club Holiday Save the Date 2026 🐢

Growing up, our favorite holiday traditions included the excitement of preparing for a special day, knowing we would see fun family and friends, and over-indulging on great food and cocktails.

The city feels so alive and festive during the holidays, and we try to capture that feeling and those traditions at Tortoise Supper Club.

We hope to make your holiday at Tortoise feel like one big happy family get together where you don’t need to worry about the dishes.

Pheasant Pie 🥃🍂

October is the perfect time to experience one of our signature dishes that has been a guest favorite since we opened our doors in 2012. The Pheasant Pie is an individual buttery crusted pie stuffed with Wisconsin pheasant, fresh root vegetables, Cognac peppercorn sauce, and crispy skin garnish. Enjoy your Pheasant Pie with live jazz, happy hour, with an Old Fashioned Cocktail, or however you like.

Thanksgiving Buffet 🦃

Celebrate Thanksgiving dinner with a one-of-a-kind, only in Chicago experience. The epic grand buffet includes an iced seafood tower, and hand carved turkey and prime rib with all the classic Thanksgiving trimmings. The delectable desserts bar is not to be missed, and the festive Fall decor is the perfect kick off to your holiday season.

Holiday Carols ❄️🎶

Dressed in merry attire, our holiday carolers roam the dining room serenading you during your holiday dinner from Chef Pablo’s fully scratch menu. Our carolers are joined by a Tortoise Supper Club pianist playing on our 1919 Steinway Grand Concert Piano. Holiday melodies and décor bring the spirit of the holiday season to life.

Christmas Eve 🎄

Sit fireside in our cozy Red Room, or gather ’round the candlelit table with friends and family to enjoy our à la carte menu along with Chef Pablo’s Christmas Eve specials. Holiday décor fills the space with the warmth and charm of a traditional Christmas dinner.

"I attended the fabulous Thanksgiving buffet at Tortoise Supper Club. We were seated in a cozy nook across from the toasty fireplace by Keene himself. What a perfect touch to have a fire going on a cold November day, it added so much to the already homey ambiance.

The buffet was bountiful with all the traditional side dishes, turkey, carving station, seafood and so many delicious dessert options. We went for the early seating, which actually gave us plenty of time to digest and then walk around in the area. Seating was quick and there was no wait. Even at that time, the place was packed, so this was the place to be!

Get your reservations in early if you plan to attend events there. The restaurant is situated right in the heart of downtown with so many cool places to visit including a stop at the Chicago river and some of the many beautifully decorated lobbies of nearby hotels for the holiday season, so festive."

The greatest parts of owning Tortoise Supper Club are seeing familiar faces return year after year, while also welcoming new guests through our doors.

During the holidays, we feel like the house where everyone gathers. For family dinners, reunions with friends, cocktails with colleagues, and live jazz with everyone! We love being a small part of so many of your traditions.

Our guests often look forward to reconnecting during Pheasant Pie season, Thanksgiving Buffet, Holiday Caroling Night, Christmas Eve, and New Year's Eve. We recommend making your holiday reservations early, as our most popular dates fill quickly. 🐢
