Each week we’ll cover a different theme with glass and bottle specials always available. Our usual Wednesday tasting will work with the theme. W**e Season at Basil’s 🍷
Starting September 21, we’re doing six weeks of rotating w**e themes, featured glasses & bottles, half priced Mondays, and Wednesday tastings.
Week 1: No Dumb Questions
A beginner-friendly week covering the basics of w**e, with half-price glasses Monday and a Wednesday tasting comparing two Chardonnays and two Zinfandels. Glass specials will cover a range of popular styles.
In Week 2, we’re going Beyond Cab & Chard, with new options for Cabernet and Chardonnay drinkers. Wednesday is our fall mega tasting with 3 reps pouring 9 w**es.
Week 3 we jump into Italian w**e. What’s a Tenuta? Who is Barbera? Italian w**e is awesome, but unlike French w**e lots of terminology and varietals did not cross over. This makes it harder to understand the labels and what you are drinking. We spend week 3 trying Italian w**es so you stop missing out!
Week 4 Pinot Noir and Sauv Blanc have surged in popularity over the past decade. Using these two grapes as starting points, we offer new w**es for you to try!
Explore France with us week 5. French w**e is a great second home for American w**e lovers. We’ll have a variety to try so you can see what makes French w**e great!
W**e Season wraps with a pairings week the last week of October. A meal without w**e is like a day without sun!
