We are super happy that invited us to be a community partner for this year's film fest. Our film of participation and choice is .land.film which presents an important dialogue of personal discovery and the lasting impact surrounding colonialism. If you have ever been into our shop and spoken with me (Zena) you know how passionate I am about spreading the awareness of communities stripped of their land and rights due to agricultural greed, and tea is a huge part of this conversation. We will be attending the Friday night showing and we encourage anyone who views this film to come in and converse about it. I also have a massive list of books stored in my brain to recommend if you have any more interest on this subject. We hope that you attend this year's festival - please use pillion20 when purchasing tickets for a discount.

Adventures in the never ending hell that is the building our shop is in...

Came in to about half a foot of standing water in the front room that has leaked from another unit. Closed for clean up, our apologies.

Closed on Friday!

Tea has and will always be political. Tea is immigrant culture. Agriculture is immigrant culture. Food systems are immigrant culture. Art, music, and new ideas are immigrant culture. We respect and hold in high regard the history, struggle, and generations of families who have made our business possible. And we extend that same respect to all migrants, immigrants, and global indigenous peoples. Our country is made better and more unique by the rich tapestry of all cultures it contains. No one is illegal, especially not in a country founded on the idea of acceptance of differences. We are shutting this Friday to enact our civic duty, right, and responsibility to peaceful protest. We stand in solidarity. 🖤
