Closed Mondays doesn’t mean off Mondays. 🧼

It’s cleaning, changing the fryer oil, scrubbing, and getting El Perrito ready for another week. The stuff that doesn’t usually make the feed.

Running a restaurant ain’t all glitz and glory. Some days you’re rolling tortillas, some days you’re elbow-deep in a fryer. 😂

But taking care of this place is part of taking care of everyone who walks through our doors. We take pride in all of it.

Been hearing a lot about this little spot in South Austin called El Perrito ATX, so I figured I’d check it out myself.
Food? 🔥
Atmosphere? 🤝

Our Drowned Tacos aren’t something we just threw on the menu. They’re part of the food we grew up eating — and part of the border-town tradition we’re trying to keep alive here in Austin.

Rolled by hand. Fried crispy. Drowned in sauce. Finished the El Perrito way. 🔥

We love making the food that reminds us of home, but what makes it even better is getting to share it with people who may be trying it for the first time.
