26 years ago, Il Localino opened its doors and started something that would become so much bigger than we ever could have imagined.

Over the years, Il Localino grew into Amore e Amore, carrying with it the same unmistakable spirit that has always made it special. Through every chapter, Mama Gale and Professor Giovanni gave so much of themselves to Amore e Amore. Their personalities and passion are part of decades of celebrations and memories shared here.

This is our first anniversary without Professor Giovanni, and we feel his absence deeply. But so much of what he created is still part of every night at Amore. In the way we welcome guests, celebrate around the table and fill the room with the same love he brought to it for so many years.

To everyone who has celebrated with us, returned year after year and made Amore part of your own story, thank you for continuing to be part of ours. In honor of 26 years of Amore, we’d love to hear your favorite story, memory or moment with us. Share yours in the comments ❤️

On October 1, 2000 Prof Giovanni and I held hands and opened the doors of
Il Localino. In recent years our beloved restaurant became Amore e Amore.
On a day like this, we feel the presence of Giovanni in such a powerful way. We miss him … but carry on the legacy
