The Sakura Rice Lager was created to honor the city of Akron planting over 400 cherry blossom trees to celebrate spring, and to bring the community together. Sakura trees celebrate the arrival of springtime and new beginnings. Renewal and rebirth.

Every spring you can experience Akron's beautiful blooms along the towpath trail, from Lock 3 all the way to the Cascade Locks by Lock 15 Brewing.

This beer is light and refreshing, just like our city's fresh spring bloom of cherry blossoms and tulips.

Lock 15 has won this category now in 2026, 2025 and 2024! We are extremely proud of this announcement. We at Lock 15 are so grateful for our amazing staff, our guests and regulars, and all of our supporters near and far.

Celebrating EIGHT YEARS🎉

Lock 15 Brewing is 8 years old today! As a thank you, we have a weekend packed with old fan favorites. Starting tonight at 5PM we'll have our sandwich poll winner on special, the Smoked Brisket Sandwich. Also available this weekend starting this evening is our famous Hot Tots! (Bacon and cheese stuffed potato kegs served with house-made cheese sauce)

PLUS Chef is also bringing back a BONUS sandwich which we will reveal soon!

We haven't brewed this beer since 2022🚨

Down Goes The Dirigible is a hazy triple IPA, packing the most hop flavor we've squeezed into a beer yet. The Calypso and Styrian Wolf hops bring lemon, orange, berry, and subtle herbal notes to the aroma and flavor of this bitter, flavorful hop bomb of a triple IPA. 13.5% ABV

We named this beer after a historical aircraft made right here in Akron, of course. Manufactured by Goodyear in 1931, the USS Akron was the world's first flying aircraft carrier, and one of the largest flying objects ever made. It was one of two giant rigid airships made to carry fighter planes for Navy fleet operations. In 1933 it was distroyed in a thunderstorm off the coast of New Jersey, resulting in the worst airship wreck in history, which killed 73 of the 76 people on board.

Try this bold brew at Lock 15 this weekend! You can even take some home in a LIMITED EDITION 750 ml. bottle.

We're celebrating Lock 15 Brewing's EIGHTH birthday on Friday, August 21st with some throwback food specials✨

Of course we'll have our famous Hot Tots for all of our Day-1 fans! If you're not familiar, Hot Tots are cheese and bacon filled potato kegs that we serve with a housemade cheese sauce.

New Beer On Tap!

America's Byway Oatmeal IPA, a collaboration with our friends at Akronym Brewing to celebrate America's 250th. This collaboration was inspired by the Summit Brew Path's 10 year anniversary Akron/Summit CVB as we have been meaning to collaborate together since Akronym reopened.

This oatmeal IPA has a creamy smooth body with citrus and orange peel notes from the massive amount of Krush and Simcoe hops.
