It seems the viruses making its way around Nelson have finally caught up with us. 🤒☕️

So, for the health of our team (and to avoid sharing our germs with our lovely customers!), we’ll be closed tomorrow.

1. Convenience is great, but an E61 machine and a separate grinder gives you much better temperature stability, consistency, and control over your espresso.

2. Tamping can restrict the water flow and create too much pressure. Just fill, level, and brew.

3. That’s like saying all wine tastes the same. Origin, variety, processing, roast, and brewing method all change what’s in your cup.

4. Darker doesn’t mean stronger. It usually just means a bolder roast flavour.

5. Coffee absorbs moisture and odours. An airtight container in a cool, dark cupboard is a much better home.

6. Old coffee oils build up quickly!
A clean machine makes better coffee and lasts longer. If you got this red card, contact us now!

7. Beans stay fresher in an airtight container. Only keep what you’ll use in the next day or two in the hopper.

If you love the full-bodied flavour of a French press / plunger but could happily skip scooping out soggy coffee grounds every morning… we’ve got something you will want to try!

The twist dripper! ☕️ it brews in a similar immersion style to a plunger, but with a paper filter that gives you a cleaner cup and makes cleanup ridiculously easy. Brew, twist, pour… then toss the filter! Yep! That’s it!
