Our outdoor extension is complete, and we’re extremely grateful for the love, patience, and support from our café community. Thank you for being part of our journey. We couldn't have done it without you❤️

Council has extended the outdoor space for River Kitchen towards Trafalgar St to make it available for more patrons. I’m pictured with Oris Weinber in the café’s extended area that was agreed with Orsi and her business partner, Coilin Fitzwater, who took over the lease for the cafe last year.

River Kitchen has helped Council’s efforts in making our Maitai River an iconic part of our city. The extension dovetails with Council’s redevelopment of the Millers Acre area including the new bus hub.

The café is a key part of the river walk and cycleway, and an important entry point for the city. I love seeing walkers, bikers and kayakers gathering after their exercise at River Kitchen enjoying the riverside atmosphere and great food.
