For the past year, we’ve been serving Thea at Kōkako Commercial Bay as part of our Coconut Matcha Latte on Tap, and it’s become a product we’ve loved working with. Now, we’re excited to share it more widely!

Founded by cousins and first-generation Kiwis, Thea sources thoughtfully selected matcha direct from Japan, with a focus on quality, provenance and sustainability.

The range includes Superior Kyoto Matcha and Premium Organic Kyoto Matcha, along with a selection of matcha tools and accessories to support your ritual at home.

Today, on International Women's Day in the International Year of the Woman Farmer, we’re celebrating the women who help grow the coffee we roast.

Across the world, women play a major role in agriculture, yet many face barriers such as limited access to land, training, and fair pay.

Fairtrade Australia and New Zealand works with farming organisations to change this by supporting women’s participation, leadership, and economic independence.

Through Fairtrade, women farmers gain better access to training, resources, and decision-making within their cooperatives. The result is stronger farms, stronger families, and stronger communities.

At Kōkako, every coffee we roast is Fairtrade certified. That means every cup helps support a system that values fairness, opportunity, and progress for the people growing our coffee.
