That Blend Your Own Gin Workshop with Two Moons Distillery was an absolute blast. Went in feeling like a total be *gin-ner* and came out a proper *gin-ius* at the craft.

Crafted our own signature summer gin — and honestly? The results were *gin-credible*. Light, crisp, aromatic, and perfectly suited for Hong Kong’s heat. We each got to take home a beautiful custom-labeled bottle of our very own creation. Pure *gin-spiration*!

Huge thanks to Dimple Yuen, Co-founder and master distiller of Two Moons Distillery, for the relaxed yet elevated vibes, expert guidance, tastings, and all the pro tips. This workshop was straight-up *gin-ormous* fun.

Who else is still riding that post-workshop gin-glow?

Our comedy night was a massive hit, kicking off with great food and drinks before launching into hilarious stand-up sets.
Vivek perfectly roasted Hong Kong life, from chaotic MTR commutes to the unique corporate vibes of Central. The energy peaked during a high-hype, interactive Q&A where the audience joined the fun, followed by an intimate meet-and-greet with the comics.
It was a memorable, high-energy evening where every guest walked away with a massive smile and a good laugh!

With so much going on at Club Bâtard the past few weeks, it’s nice to now reflect on Suga-san and his team’s recent visit to Club Bâtard. Members and the Club Bâtard team alike loved this three day takeover in May. Impossible to book in Tokyo, this time we enjoyed Yosuke Suga’s taste of spring summer, in the comfort of our own club. The passion, skill and precision were evident in every plate… and quite a few nice bottles were opened too!

A pleasure to have Christian Seely with for some amazing large format Ch Pichon Baron back to the legendary 1961, from the chateau cellar. Wines of power, but equally of grace. Fascinating to try the new ‘Grand Vin Blanc Sec’ from Ch Suduiraut - a wine that truly lives up to sibling status alongside the luscious classic Suduiraut. This - and a rare old vine ‘Pur Sémillon’ shine a new light on a grand terroir.

What an incredible evening we had Stepping Back In Time with eleven vintages of Chateau Latour more than a century old, and four ‘century pairs’ of 21st century counterparts: 1894, 1896, 1900, 1901, 1904, 1905, 1907, 1908, 1909, 1910, and 1920, with 2000, 2001, 2005, 2010. Baccus was smiling as these pale coloured but bright treasures transported us to a long-forgotten era, with a room and menu to match this Belle Epoque experience. Delicate, light and fragrant, we searched for words to describe each wine. Voting at the end revealed 8 of the 11 getting at least one vote for wine of the night – testament to this collection of bottles’ superb quality of preservation, and the greatness of Latour, even in challenging years (though no surprise top wine of the night was the enthralling 1900). Members who experienced this last night shared with Linden an evening none of us will forget, perhaps bittersweet because it can never be repeated.
