We are incredibly sorry, but unfortunately, due to staff illness, we have no choice but to close on:

We are truly sorry for the inconvenience and disappointment this may cause, especially to anyone who had planned to visit us. We have tried our best, but unfortunately, staff illness has left us with no option but to temporarily close.

We are hoping to reopen as normal on Tuesday 28th.

☀️We have now closed for the weekend - we are all shattered and hot hot hot 🥵🥵🥵thank you for a really great week everyone but most importantly thank you to our staff for their endurance, hard work and wanting to carry on in this heat. They are all amazing 🥵😍

We will be closed tomorrow so they can all enjoy Cottingham Day - we will reopen Tuesday morning at 10am.

A little polite reminder when booking your table with us -

Please make sure you book for the correct number of diners in your party. This includes children — even if they’re not eating, they still need a seat and space at the table.

We completely understand that little ones might just be sharing or not having a full meal, but for safety, comfort and table layout purposes, we need to allow space for everyone who will be joining you.

If you’re looking to book for a party of more than 7 people, we will require a meal preorder which will need to be with us at least 4 days before your booking .

We ask that you don’t arrive with additional guests that weren’t included in your booking, as during busy services we may not be able to accommodate extra people.

JOB VACANCY - Barista/Waiter/Waitress Part Time Permanent
18-20 Hours per week.
Transport is required or living locally.

What you'll do (Responsibilities):-

* Food Preparation (Food Hygiene Level 2 Certificate will need to be acquired, this will be funded by Sails Cafe)
* Welcoming Guests and showing them to their tables.
* Taking food and drink orders accurately.
* Preparing Coffees using a specialty coffee machine
* Serving food and beverages promptly.
* Clearing tables and resetting them for new customers.
* Ensuring the dining area is clean and welcoming.
* General Pot Washing/Cleaning Down at end of shift.

What we are looking for:-

* A friendly, polite and confident personality.
* Good communication skills and a desire to help people.
* Ability to work well in a team and under pressure.
* Reliability.
* Experience is preferred but not essential - full training will be provided.

Hours of work - 10am -4/4.30pm Wednesday, Thursday & Friday
(May need to cover sickness/holidays)
