A BACK TO NORMAL WEDNESDAY

It was lovely to greet and welcome you all today. Unlike last week when, unfortunately I (Jan) was constantly in and out to those that had missed our Facebook post, notices and emails advising that we would be closed because of essential work to the Power Grid.

The staff didn't get the day off however. We used this opportunity for a staff meeting and training to make sure we are all always giving our best to our customers.

THIS WEEK AT CROFT PARK
Monday - we had a quiet start, but a really good lunch and afternoon trade, so, thank you all for keeping choosing to visit us.

Tuesday - is birthday, day with two tables reserved for parties that have chosen to celebrate with us.

Wednesday - we're just grateful to be opening after the Power Grid closed us for the second time in quick succession last Wednesday.

Thursday - whilst not exactly a deadline, it's advisable to have Sunday table bookings in by then as it is Father's day this Sunday. Don't forget if you're booking lunch to advise us if your wanting a roast dinner.

Friday - We're preparing for the weekend, with deliveries from all our main suppliers (beer, meat, veg and general stock) it can be hectic, but we're sure to be fully supplied for the weekend.

Saturday - Although brunch and ice cream are available all week, this seems to be the day when many of you choose to be a little more indulgent. Also, a great day to treat dad, if he's not into the hustle and bustle of grand celebrations.

Sunday - Our roasts have really taken off again and we expect to be extra busy this week with all the dads. Don't forget to book your table.

We at Croft Park are a rugby league loving lot and most of us support the same Hull team!

However, team loyalties aside, there is one thing on which we, and all rugby supporters are all agreed - this honour is long over due.

How often do we see people receive a knighthood for 'Services to Entertainment' or 'Services to Sport'. What does this exactly mean?

People who are doing a job they love and are paid excessive amounts are then honoured for it!

Kevin is a Superb Sportsman, a Marvellous Mate and a Magical Marathon runner, so, congratulations to him.

I have it on good authority that the sun will be shining and what more could you want to give you that holiday feeling?
