MEET THE MAYFIELD – SAY HELLO TO PADDY!

It’s Thursday, and you know what that means… it’s time for another Meet the Mayfield!

Last week, we introduced you to our cheeky little troublemaker, Max. Well, we couldn’t possibly introduce Max without giving his best friend a moment in the spotlight too!

EVERYONE, MEET PADDY!

🎂 Born: April 2024
🐐 Breed: Crossbreed
💚 Personality: Friendly, cautious, cheeky and just a little bit sly!

Now, if Max is the one rushing headfirst into mischief, Paddy is the one standing a few steps behind, carefully considering whether it’s actually a good idea!

These two have been best friends their entire lives, and their friendship goes back long before they joined the Mayfield family in May 2025.

But while Max is our confident little ringleader, Paddy prefers to take a slightly more thoughtful approach to life.

Don’t let that fool you, though. Behind that cautious personality is a cheeky, slightly sly character who knows exactly what’s going on around him!

With his gorgeous long Alpine hair and friendly nature, Paddy is certainly a handsome little fellow. And he absolutely LOVES attention! Give him a good stroke, and you’ll have yourself a very happy goat.

He’s also incredibly sociable and loves spending time with the other goats, although there’s no denying that Max will always be his number one partner in crime!

So next time you visit Mayfield, keep an eye out for Paddy! He might be quietly observing everything around him, but we can almost guarantee he’s already plotting something with Max!

MEET THE MAYFIELD – SAY HELLO TO MAX!

We know, we know… Meet the Mayfield is usually a Thursday thing! 🤭

But with all the Halloween excitement, spooky activities and everything happening around the farm this week, we’ve fallen a little behind schedule!

So apologies for the delay, but this week we’re bringing you a Friday edition of Meet the Mayfield!

And trust us, today’s star is worth the wait!

EVERYONE, MEET MAX!

🎂 Born: 24th February 2024
🐐 Breed: British Alpine Goat
💚 Personality: Cheeky, rambunctious, curious and friendly!

Now, Max might look like a sweet, innocent little gentleman, but don’t let that face fool you! Behind those adorable eyes is a cheeky, curious character who certainly knows how to keep everyone entertained!

Max is the natural leader of his little gang, and where Max goes, there’s a good chance his best buddy Paddy won’t be far behind!

Before joining the Mayfield family, Max and Paddy lived together on a small allotment in Hillsborough. Believe it or not, these two had never experienced proper grassy fields or the freedom of wide-open spaces with other goats!

Imagine their excitement when they arrived at Mayfield!

From their little allotment to fields full of grass, new friends and plenty of opportunities for mischief, Max and Paddy have certainly embraced their new life!

And while Max has a calm and friendly side, he’s also full of curiosity and a little bit of cheekiness. As the self-appointed leader of the pack, he’s always ready to investigate what’s happening around him!

Watching Max and Paddy settle in, explore their surroundings and flourish has been an absolute joy for all of us.

So next time you’re visiting Mayfield, keep an eye out for Max and his partner in crime, Paddy!

Just remember… if there’s a little goat mischief happening somewhere, Max might know something about it!

A little change of plans at Mayfield Farm!

Due to the stormy weather forecast for this weekend, we’ve made the decision to postpone our Halloween Pumpkin Trail and all Halloween activities to ensure the safety and comfort of our visitors, animals and team.

NEW DATES: TUESDAY 27TH OCTOBER – SUNDAY 1ST NOVEMBER 2026!

But don’t worry, the spooky fun isn’t cancelled, it’s just arriving a little later!

Join us for 6 days of spooky farm fun, including:

MEET THE MAYFIELD FAMILY – PEPPER!

Meet Pepper, one of our adorable Pygmy goats and quite possibly the cutest little face at Mayfield!

Born in October 2023, Pepper is Honey’s daughter and Peaches’ little sister. Although the two were born at the same time, Pepper is the smaller of the siblings, but don’t let her size fool you!

She may still be a little shy and enjoy the protection of her mum, but she’s becoming more confident every day. She’s playful, curious, and increasingly enjoys spending time with the other goats and people.

What Pepper lacks in size, she certainly makes up for in personality!

Some say she’s the cutest goat at Mayfield… but we’ll let you be the judge! 😉
