Well the summer weather is set to arrive at last! Blow the dust off your bike or walking boots and get out and make the most of the transpennine trail, Magic wood cafe is OPEN Tuesday through to Sunday all summer 10-2 xx

(Please note- if extreme wet/windy/cold weather is forecast the cafe is closed as due to our remote location we don’t get enough footfall in bad weather to cover opening costs.
I always post before 8.30 on the morning if we are closed due to bad weather)

After a lovely Tuesday, we have a blustery wet Wednesday, so Magic Wood is CLOSED today.
Thursday through to Sunday is looking good, so we will be open 10-2 then x

Sad to say, due to the forecast of heavy rain for here this morning, along with the strong winds from midday, the magic wood cafe is CLOSED today, Friday 12th June.
Saturday and Sunday I will be open 10-2 as the weekend forecast looks ok x

The next three days are forecast heavy thundery rain/hail/wind, so im making the decision now to let people know i wont be opening Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday this week , so i dont buy fresh stock that has to go to waste.
The trail up here is so quiet when this sort of weather is forecast, ive learnt from experience i dont get enough footfall to cover opening costs when these weather conditions are forecast, wether it turns out to be correct or not.
It is so frustrating at the moment with this wet weather, but thankfully the weekend is looking good, so the plan is to open Friday, Saturday and Sunday 10-2 this week..
