❤️ Well… that’s a wrap for me at Trackside! 🚂☕️
Today was my last day at the café before Trackside closes next month, and it feels very strange to think that I’ve made my last coffee, cooked my last breakfast and probably wiped down that counter for the last time! 😂
I just want to say a massive thank you to everyone I’ve had the pleasure of meeting, serving and getting to know during my time there.
To the commuters grabbing their morning caffeine fix, the locals, travellers, families, dog walkers, regulars and all the familiar faces who became such a lovely part of my working days, thank you. ❤️
And to everyone I’ve worked alongside, thank you for the laughs, the chats, the hectic lunch times , the “how many coffees?!” moments and the days when I wondered if the queue was ever going to end 😂(Karen !!!!!!)
There have been early mornings when the coffee machine seemed to have a mind of its own, breakfasts flying out faster than the trains and plenty of laughs in between. ☕️🥓😂
Trackside has never felt like just a little station café. It’s been a place where people popped in for food and coffee, but stayed for a chat, a catch-up or sometimes just a bit of company. And that’s what I’ll remember most.
I’ve met some genuinely lovely people and made some wonderful memories, and I’m so grateful to have been part of it.
So, thank you, Trackside, thank you Dawn for the job 😉and thank you to every single person who crossed that counter during my time there. ❤️
I’ll miss the people, the laughs , the moans 🤣 and even the early starts… well, maybe not quite the early starts! 😂
