This week’s enchanting tale is 📖 The Adventures of Ampony Woodland Gardens by local legend Edwin Barrie – a wonderful story full of kindness, friendship and imagination.

🕐 Please arrive by 12:45pm to get settled before the story begins promptly at 1:00pm.

Perfect for children up to 10 years old.

🐇 And don’t forget… before or after the story, you can continue the adventure by exploring our Alice in Wonderland Trail, available throughout the gardens.

Following the wonderful success of last week’s Alice in Wonderland storytelling, we’re excited to introduce the next magical tale in our Wednesday Woodland Stories…

📖 The Adventures of Ampony Woodland Gardens by local legend Edwin Barrie.

Step into a hidden woodland in the heart of Cornwall, where fairies, gnomes, woodland animals and birds live happily together. Guided by kindness, friendship and a shared love of nature, their peaceful world is suddenly faced with its greatest challenge…

Will courage, teamwork and kindness be enough to protect their magical home?

Join us as this enchanting new story comes to life amongst the trees at Antony Woodland Garden.

📅 Wednesday 5th August
🕐 Storytelling begins at 1.00pm

Storytelling is free to attend. If you’d like to continue the adventure afterwards, normal garden admission applies to explore the woodland trails and gardens.

✨ Suitable for children aged approximately 4–8 years.

Wednesday Woodland Magic ✨

📖🌿 Where stories come to life…

This Wednesday, our woodland tipi will become a place for imaginations to wander.

Join us for the first of our Wednesday Woodland Stories, where children can settle beneath the trees and enjoy a classic tale in one of the most peaceful corners of Antony Woodland Garden.

Our opening story is Alice in Wonderland.

✨ Free for children under 10.

After the story, why not make an afternoon of it by exploring our Alice in Wonderland Woodland Trail, where curious characters are hidden amongst the trees for little explorers to discover.

Woodland Wonderland! How magic. And definitely something great to do with the kids this summer holiday.

🌿 A little woodland magic is coming to Antony Woodland Garden this summer...

This summer holiday, we're delighted to introduce Wednesday Woodland Stories – a brand-new experience for young families to enjoy together beneath the trees.

Join us each Wednesday from 29 July for an hour of classic storytelling outside our woodland tipi, beginning with the timeless tale of Alice in Wonderland.

After the story, why not continue your adventure by exploring our enchanting Alice in Wonderland Woodland Trail, where curious characters are hidden amongst the trees for little explorers to discover.

Imagine this being your office… 🌿

We’re looking for a friendly, practical and enthusiastic Garden Warden to join us at Antony Woodland Garden.

Set within one of Cornwall’s most beautiful woodland gardens, this is a wonderfully varied role for someone who enjoys working outdoors, meeting people and sharing a passion for plants and gardens. From welcoming visitors and supporting volunteers to helping ensure the garden remains a special place for everyone who visits, no two days are quite the same.

📍 Antony Woodland Garden, Torpoint, Cornwall

⏰ 20 hours per week (worked Tuesday–Thursday and Saturday–Sunday) from February–October, reducing to 5 hours per week between November–January

💷 £14 per hour

We’re OPEN TODAY — Bank Holiday Monday 🌳

When the heat starts to feel a bit much, Antony Woodland Garden offers plenty of shady, dappled corners to wander, pause, and breathe. Even Kit the garden cat knows the best spots to keep cool 🐾💚

Bring the family, bring the dog (if visiting the Woodland Walk), take your time, and enjoy a gentler kind of bank holiday.

And if you fancy a little treat, The Woodland Kitchen is open too from 10.30–14.30 for drinks, coffee, cakes and bakes ☕🍰

This Bank Holiday weekend and throughout half term, Antony Woodland Garden offers the perfect retreat; whether you prefer sunny open spaces or the cool shade beneath the trees 🌳

With warmer weather approaching, there are few places more delightful for a leisurely walk, picnic, exploration, or for children to enjoy the freedom to roam. We will also be OPEN on Bank Holiday Monday 💚
