Looking forward to cooking for this special event a couple of recipes from my new cookbook ‘Summer’ Otherwise Publishing & talking about it xx

The Bluebell Wood at Arlington has a kind of magical quality. Everyone experiences the effect: under the sheltering branches, in the mossy hold of the ancient wood, we become peaceful and settled.
I've seen it in tired two-year olds, in pre-occupied teens, in anxious adults. Now there is a chance to make the most of the delight and calm created by the ancient woodland.

I'm starting a series of events for adults, once a month, on a Friday afternoon. There will be a different theme each time, but you can make this opportunity into what you want, or need. You can speak to others and share thoughts and experiences, or be entirely silent. You can learn new skills and crafts or simply observe. You can delve into the library or bring your own book, the one you never have time to read. You can light the fire to make the tea or just happily take the mug offered to you. You can sit with others or find your own space and rest against an oak.

The first event is called "Weave", and is a celebration of summer goodness, weaving a willow platter. Philippa Vine, daughter of woodland owner John McCutchan, has written the first of her series of four seasonal cookbooks, "Summer". She will be bringing us Jewelled Cornbread and Rose Petal Biscuits that feature in the book to eat from our platters.

It's at 12.30-2.15pm on Friday 19th June, and is £14 per adult.

Summer appears to be well & truly here now & I’m so excited to say my debut cookbook ‘Summer’ is here too! The first in a new series celebrating the seasons through food. I am also going on a little book tour which started with a visit to .ldn & I was so lucky to meet up Gudrun in person . Today I will be going to for some shopping & to see some of the producers that feature in the book & bringing my book which .farmer will be selling! All good things ……..
I have made a difficult decision that, for various reasons, not to continue renting my Bluebell Farmhouse Kitchen/cookery school. Thank you so much to all my wonderful clients over the years for all the love, fun, joy, cooking, workshops & our communities that .farmer & I have grown together, yoga & . We will remember it with immense pride, gratitude & affection each & everyone of you. However, “A change is gonna to come” …… I am going to continue with what I love & am passionate about - cooking with the seasons from my home kitchen & vegetable garden/farm & things will be even more colourful as I am thrilled to continue collaborating with the British made & will be cooking on a new electric cooker (all will be revealed soon!) I am delighted to continue being an ‘ambassador’ with the colourful .ldn. Our yoGudrun Sjödén@dianalunasampson will be Diana Sampson fields to & Sussex Shalal be moving into a community space of the Arlington village hall. Look forward to seeing you all there! This new arrival, a gorgeously colourful “Pepper” hunk of 🇬🇧 made electric range cooker is a feast for the eyes & will soon be producing tantalising delicious seasonal home cooked feasts for the taste buds.
