Everyday is a workday here at the Bells!
98 hours a week that we are open and a fair few more spent working on behind the scenes stuff..
144 days in, I want to say a huge thank you to my young team. Vast majority of whom are in their first jobs, still teenagers and certainly nearly all of whom have never worked in hospitality before.
We have some older more experienced heads too - pushing the average age up north of 40 with our combined years. 😜
We are a team and teams rise and fall together. I am so proud of what everyone here at the Bells has achieved from a cold, hard, standing start of a pub that hadn’t opened its doors for 8 months, to now…
We are certainly not perfect, (well except Joseph - who tells us he is 😜🥰), but I would rather be surrounded by local and youth employees that are growing together and putting the money I pay them into our village communities, than have it any other way.
Take a bow Team The Six Bells Newdigate - you have gone a long way to restoring the heart of a village. Not bad a summer’s work…
