Morning everybody,

We at WRR have been asked several times over recent days what is involved in the event so here are some bullet points of how it works.

Riders register on line with their chosen start/end point.

On the day they go to that start venue first and collect their stamp card for the day. Cards will be available from 9am onwards.

Riders then need to visit 4 other venues during the course of the day and obtain a “stamp” at each venue.

After collecting 5 “stamps” (start point and 4 others) they then return to the same venue they started at, get a final “stamp” and will be awarded their Wales Round Ribbon keyring.

All venues will be available 9am till 5pm which is the end time for the event.

Which venues you visit throughout the day is your choice. There is no set route, no preferred venues etc. That is why we call it “your ride, your route”.

Each venue has a set number of spaces for riders to start. If that venue's spaces are not all filled by online registrations then riders will be able to purchase a spot on the day. We will publish a list of venues with available spaces in the days prior to the event but these are strictly first come first served basis.

We can only accept card payments for online registrations so ticket purchases on the day and merchandise must be cash only.

The ribbon/printing etc is all paid for by the venues so your £10 registration fee goes entirely to the charity of choice minus card handling fees but we do offer an option to add a £1 contribution to the online registration fee to cover this also.

This years Wales Round Ribbon is in support of Dave's Defib, a Grassroots initiative aiming to enable better access to public AED's (defibrillators) in key locations such as rural meeting points, popular riding routes, and Cafe's.

Their work is invaluable, and is only made possible by the generosity of the public, which is why Wales Round Ribbon want to raise these vital funds for them to support their ongoing mission.

By signing up, you are not only helping raise funds for Dave's Defib to install more AED's, you are also visiting cafe's and supporting local businesses who sign up to cover the costs of the ribbons and registration cards, so that your registration fee can go straight to Dave's Defib.

Don't forget our Venues are

Owls Nest
Two Hoots
Roadhouse
Lle Tarw
Fu3l Tank

At the heart of every rural community… there’s a pub🍻

Tomorrow on Country Focus, we explore the role of rural village pubs today and meet those breathing new life and purpose into them.

Ifan visits the Halfway in Pisgah near Aberystwyth, where sisters Beca & Mali James took on the tenancy last year. Meanwhile, Rhodri heads to Yr Heliwr in Nefyn on the Llŷn Peninsula, a thriving community pub.
