Catered another wedding this evening at the Centre Goeland. I love catering at this venue! Folks were super nice and welcoming to me & the team. They even hooked us up with some cake & icecream after we were all finished! We got lots of compliments. People seem to enjoy having something different for their guests and we really fit the bill!

Some things are just not meant to stick around...
The fry-cuterie board was just one of those ideas that I thought was going to be genius. A big sharable board of sides that a group could get with their burgers (cause like... why would you want to stick with ONE side options when you could have a bunch?!).

The kitchen sort of hated making them... they didn't really catch on with the customer AND in retrospect I think I did a bad job of marketing it.

And some groups of people just don't want to share food like that ya know...

Anyway, it sailed away to the Undying Lands soon after we launched it.

Rest in Pepperoni, Fry-cuterie board.

Makes me wonder, was it a bad idea? Ahead of its time? Too soon after covid? I guess we'll never know.

It's the opening night for the Tyne Valley Friday Night Market! An awesome open air market featuring some incredible vendors (see attached photo). I almost didn't even notice...
I was looking through my Facebook memories when I came across a business anniversary post from when we celebrated our 6 years in business. It's hard to believe we got here...

This year marks our 15th year in business. From a business stand point, that is impressive - from a restaurant standpoint, even more so. The industry statistics for restaurants are... not encouraging to say the least!

But we made it!

I am truly grateful to everyone who have supported us throughout these 15 years - from the regulars to those who only make it up once a year - we appreciate you all.
