Oh my this was so much fun, even in spite of the wet day! We had an early seasonal staff party just before some of our gang left for university. We did a little "amazing race" kind of thing. Here's how it went:
We started off assigning three teams with drivers and they came up with their team names. We had "The Dish Pits", "Lil' Dougie's Six Seven", and "The #1 Coneheads". lol They had no idea what lay ahead for the day but they sure were good sports! Konrad and I followed along and I have to tell you, watching these guys, we were belly laughing most of the day. Throughout the stops they had to do ice cream word searches, find waldo, etc.
First stop, after freaking them out thinking we were going into the rink to perform a song for a bunch of people, we actually landed at Stewart Memorial Senior's Home. There we all sang "You Are My Sunshine" to the residents and then gave them tulips. That part was so lovely.
The next envelope of instructions had them scooting off to the Richmond Esso to encourage a stranger to gas up their cars and pose in a goofy group photo.
Following the Esso, they drove to Sunny's Dairy Bar in Miscouche. There they had to perform more funny antics and photos of requested poses and enjoy a yummy treat (thank you Sunny's Dairy Bar for treating us to your delicious ice cream!).
From there they drove to Green Shores in Summerside where they were directed to have a stranger take a pic of their team posing as a human pyramid. Getting a dog in the photo would offer bonus points. No one walking their dogs but one team was hoping the seagulls would count. lol There weren't many folks around on that wet day, so one team recruited a police officer take their pic. (he was a great sport!).
From there we travelled to Kensington to the Willow Bakery & Cafe for delicious treats and a bit of a break. Then from there... yes, you guessed it... The Haunted Mansion. Lots of squealing and fun all day. We landed back at Kenny's for a late lunch. Here are some fun pics of our goofy bunch! Gosh I love this bunch! Sooooo much fun!
