It opened in 1949 as a watering hole for men who drove the city’s horse-drawn garbage wagons. They called it “The Ashman’s Inn” and quartered their horses and carts in a stable across the street. As the years went by The Ashman’s Inn became The Corner Tavern and was known as one of the last two “Men’s only “ bars in St. Sometime in the early eighties “The Corner“became the Georgetown Pub, your fri
