Swept Away Inn Floating Inn B&B/Restaurant aboard our 100 ft converted tug boat. Eight staterooms, six bathrooms wi We are open for dinners only Wednesday thru Sunday.

We specialize in French/Moroccan cuisine with private dinning on our 100' tug boat. Seating by reservation only at $50 to $70 plus tax and gratuity per person and usually 3-4 course. Dinner starts at 7pm and ends at 10 pm. We seat up to 12 people and more by request. We fill the seats each dinner until we reach the minimum of 12. Groups of 12 can book the whole evening and its so very fun. We have lots of Birthday, Anniversary and club type gatherings. Christmas parties are beginning to role in. Our B&B runs everyday. We have 5 staterooms available now. Rooms start at $189.00 per night based on double occupancy with breakfast. Each room sleeps 2 adults. Breakfasts are gourmet every morning :) We welcome you and look forward to your visit aboard our beautiful Tug MV Songhee!

To everyone who has visited us, stayed with us, shared stories, laughter, and a little piece of your world — our B&B guests from near and far — we send you a warm hello from here in Port Alberni. ❤️

Our old tug still stands proudly here, holding her head up and watching over the harbour. She is the real deal — strong, weathered, and full of stories.

Over the years, she has welcomed people and embraced cultures and races from all around the world. So many footsteps have crossed her deck, and so many different lives have become part of her story.

Today, on the first day of autumn, she wants to say:

The Gifts That Stay With Us ❤️🇨🇭

One of the greatest joys of hospitality is realizing that the connections we make with our guests can become so much more than a stay, a meal, or a simple hello. Over the years, guests become familiar faces, cherished memories, and sometimes, friends who leave a little piece of themselves behind.

These beautiful Swiss Army knife chocolates were given to us as a gift, and they represent something much sweeter than chocolate. They are a reminder of the kindness, warmth, and generosity we have experienced from so many of our Swiss guests over the past 13 years.

Tonight aboard the Swept Away Inn, we took a little detour from our adventures at Brie & Barrel

Our day off became an opportunity to gather around the table once again with guests from around the world and share a meal much like the ones that have filled this boat with laughter and stories over the years.

On the menu: Steamed mussels with fennel, white w**e and shallots, brie with truffle honey, fresh focaccia, local greens salad, and summer fruits.

We haven’t cooked dinner for guests onboard since beginning this new chapter with Brie & Barrel, so tonight felt especially meaningful.😊
It was a treat not only for those joining us, but for us as well; a chance to reminisce about the many unforgettable evenings shared aboard the Swept Away Inn with all of our past guests.

Some things may change, but good food, good company, and the magic of gathering together remain the same.❤️🤗

Some guests bring a toothbrush. Others bring an eye for magic.

Last night, one of our B&B guests managed to capture sunset through the porthole while enjoying a shower aboard the tugboat. (Who knew our showers doubled as waterfront viewing lounges?)😉

Framed by the porthole were the fishing boats resting in the harbour, a sky showing off in every shade imaginable, and one very smug sunset reminding us why life is better on the water.

At the Swept Away Inn, even the most ordinary moments can turn into postcard memories—sometimes while shampooing!

There’s a special moment we look forward to every day on the water.
Each morning, as the Francis Barkley, Lady Rose Marine Services heads out on her voyage, and again each evening as she returns home, she passes by our tug.
Our B&B guests are always aboard, waving alongside the captain, crew, and passengers as they go by. 👋

Those familiar smiles and waves have become part of our daily routine and a reminder of the wonderful connections that life on the coast brings. It just wouldn’t be the same without them.

To everyone sailing today—thank you for making our mornings and evenings a little brighter. We’ll be here on the tug, watching for you and waving back, until we see you again tomorrow.
