Hello Paper Moon community.
This is our last post on this page and we won't be monitoring it from here on, simply because we don't have the access you require to keep informed as you need (or demand).

We will address some of your concerns here and then move forward to our new page with a fresh start.

Firstly, we did not buy a vegan business. It was not always and has not been for some time. It has transitioned through different stages at the choice of the proprietor as it will continue to.

We are not dairy farmers and a dairy company did not buy Paper Moon.

Our reasons for buying this business is that it's a special venue and area that suits our family's particular needs and has potential to be more. We fell in love with the space. The menu is not written in stone.

We had every intention of keeping it vegetarian if we could expand on that and only wanted a little time to find a way to make it viable as a family business in the constraints of the kitchen we have. Unfortunately, we were not given even a week to find our feet before being scrutinized and lectured by a hostile minority of people that were largely not customers of Paper Moon.
At the same time we saw far more potential customers leave because we don't offer what they want.

A few people took it upon themselves to attack us and spread lies amongst their own groups and forced our hands to make changes sooner than we wanted to, or at all.

We will continue to offer vegan options, namely those that are locally sourced and we will always respect your choices and do our best to provide a welcoming space to those who also respect us.

Any further inquiries about why we bought this business can be directed to us, only if you are willing to go through the same process we did and if you have the means, you are welcome to make an offer and keep it a safe space for you.

Today marks the end of our first week here at Paper Moon!
Thanks to everyone for your support and kindness throughout the week. It means a lot to us. 🙏
Our plan was to spend a little more time running things just as before while we got to know our customers and hear what you want. So far we haven't changed anything on the menu except for the addition of one special request donut for a day. A very minor change that was enjoyed and sold out quickly!
Moving forward with your requests in mind, we will slowly start to offer new options including non-vegan, but will always offer many of the usual vegan favourites.

We haven't had much luck accessing profile changes to our social media, so to avoid confusion we will likely start new pages when we get a moment to focus on that and we will let you all know so you can continue to follow and support us if you choose to. (Any Meta experts?.. we're open to advice. 😁)

Leading into the weekend, it's still very much the same options you're used to, but we will be trialling a small amount of new items also to see how they go.

It's a very special space here at Paper Moon that so many of you have loved in its various stages and we look forward to sharing its new chapter with you all!

That's a wrap on our first weekend at Paper Moon. Thanks to everyone who came in over the last 3 days and for your patience while we were finding our rhythm. And thanks to Milla for your hard work. Couldn't have done it without you! And a big shout out to Pat at Bear Bones coffee and Holly and Jody for training us up to confidently keep the Paper Moon vision alive. It's a special little place.
We only intend to make very small changes and the installation of misters outside is one that is now completed. Should help us sooky southerners survive our first Brissy summer! 😆🌞🌡️
We're back on Wednesday as usual. Hope to see you all then.

Hello from your new hosts here at Paper Moon Coffee House! We've been honored to meet so many regulars already and appreciate the warm welcome we've received.
Sadly we will be closed tomorrow Wednesday 3rd for necessary transition tasks, but all things going well, we will reopen Thursday 4th as usual.
No big surprises initially, just a few new faces.
We hope to see you then.

Dear Paper Moon family,
After 12 wonderful years of pouring coffee, and sharing countless conversations, stories and laughs, the time has come for us to pass the keys to new hands.
We are very happy to announce that Paper Moon has been sold to a beautiful family who love this little corner every bit as much as we do. They are warm, passionate, and committed to keeping the heart and soul of Paper Moon alive while gently adding their own special touch.
Mum and I will be working this week as usual, with our final day being this Sunday, 30th Nov.
Starting Thursday 4th Dec, the café will reopen under its new family, ready to write the next chapter together with all of you.
Thank you to everyone who supported us over the many years. We hope you’ll continue to fill these tables with the same love and support that have always made this place so special.
Please come say hello, and goodbye, over the next week — let’s have one last cup of coffee for the road!
