We believe it is officially bitterballen season at Stoep, and there is only one way to confirm it properly… by coming to try them for yourself at our café. Golden on the outside, rich and comforting on the inside, best enjoyed fresh and shared over good conversation.

Bitterballen have their roots in Dutch café culture, traditionally served as a bar snack alongside a cold drink. Originally made from slow-cooked beef ragout, they were created as a way to use up leftovers in the most delicious way possible, and have since become a much-loved staple in the Netherlands and beyond.

Whether you already know them well or are trying them for the first time, they are best enjoyed the Stoep way. Warm, generous, and impossible to stop at just one.
