Today, we remember and celebrate Helmut Wilderer, the visionary founder whose passion and pioneering spirit laid the foundation for Wilderer and South Africa’s first craft distillery.

This year would have marked his 85th birthday.

Although he is no longer with us, his legacy continues in every bottle we craft, every guest we welcome, and every new chapter of the Wilderer story.

From all of us at Wilderer, and from Christian as his son, we honour the man whose courage, craftsmanship and vision started it all.

Thank you to our loyal supporters, customers, partners and team for continuing this journey with us.

Here’s to heritage, craftsmanship and the road ahead.
