Sunshine, swirling glasses, and the kind of view that makes you forget your phone exists - that was our day at Mariella's Restaurant situated at Capaia Wines ☀️🍷
We arrived expecting a 'nice lunch' and oh boy were we blown away by the crispy and tender perfectly prepared pork belly! And the rolled lamb shoulder - rich, melt-in-your-mouth and possibly the reason I'm still thinking about it hours later. 💭💭💭
The scenery deserves its own paragraph. Rolling vineyards, 🍇 mountains showing off in the background. 🖼 A bonus point is that it is child-friendly! 🪁🧸🎨
FINAL verdict: came for the wine, stayed for the food and lingered for the view!

'BRUNCH' is breakfast without an alarm! ⏰️ And that is exactly what we were up to on Saturday.
We decided to visit Get Filled Café Paarl for a nice brunch. If you are looking for a very relaxed atmosphere, this is the spot.
Their menu has a wide variety of food and beverages. The portions are very generous and the service was excellent! A huge shout-out to their amazing staff. 🙌🏼

So...my hubby's birthday was in January and I like to make a big deal of his BIG day! 🥳 This was our very first visit to Salmon & Brine and we were very impressed! 🍣🍤 Our waitress was very informative and she had great taste because the food she suggested was 🍷
With their wide variety of food we were spoiled for choice!
PS. Take my advice and order their jalapeño poppers, you will not be disappointed! It is out of this world! 🌎

FREEDOM WEEKEND MARKET - Paarl
After our first week back at work...in we trust! 🍷 But as they say at the market, SLOW DOWN...SOAK IT UP! 🚦
We decided to pop into the Freedom Weekend Market this afternoon for some lunch and wine with friends. What a real gem it was especially for parents looking for a child friendly venue. The jungle gym, play area, lawn and tractor rides give mom a bit of a breather. 😉
We were spoiled for choice when it came to food and beverages; from lamb rotis, burgers, pizzas, sushi, and seafood to wine, beer and my personal favourite, !☕️ Did I mention the setting the vibe! 🎤🎶🎸
My friends are well aware that I am a sucker when it comes to , so what a treat when I got to the Lotus Leather stall. These leather goods could make the best gift. 🛍

I made a at Oumeul Bakery in Robertson, while I was on my way to a business meeting last week. What a treat?! 😉 They definitely sell quality food, made to perfection. Not only did I enjoy my lunch and coffee but they also stock a wide range of local products.
Be on the lookout for their excellent breakfast special at only R65; this includes a bacon and egg roll + a medium americano or flat white (available daily until midday).🥓🍳🍞
