Bring the young adventurers along to climb, run, play and burn off some energy while you settle in for good food, a glass of wine and a relaxed day at the farm.

This is also your last weekend to enjoy Vrymansfontein before we take a seasonal break from 29 June to 22 July. Join us for one last relaxed farm outing before we pause for the season, we'll be back and ready to welcome you again from 23 July.

This Father’s Day, gather the family for a long, generous Sunday lunch at SCAPE Restaurant at Vrymansfontein.

From 12h30 until late afternoon, settle in for a celebratory roast menu made for sharing, complete with starters, a choice of hearty mains, seasonal sides and sticky date pudding to finish. Expect dishes such as beef cheek terrine, pumpkin risotto, braised lamb shoulder, double bone pork chop, rotisserie chicken, rosemary roasted potatoes and roasted cabbage with anchovy and parmesan butter.

There will be live music, with accordion and cello setting the tone, as well as a special selection of wines by the glass from the 80s and 90s, curated by Armand Ridgard, South Africa’s Best Sommelier.

At The Shed at Vrymansfontein, weekends are intentionally unhurried. Gourmet pizzas, burgers from the fire, generous braai platters and cold glasses of Vondeling wine are served against uninterrupted views towards Simonsberg and Table Mountain.

It’s laidback, family friendly and quietly beautiful in the way only the Winelands can be. Please note: The Shed experience is weather dependent and best enjoyed on sunny days.
